Queensland Police Service (QPS) has launched a wide-ranging review into watch houses across the state, in response to rising complaints and occupancy rates. Immediate action will also be taken to increase watch house transparency. This week, watch house officers will be fitted with body worn cameras, and a real-time online dashboard will be set up to increase transparency of watch house occupancy rates and stay lengths.

Steven Miles has confirmed he won't accept donations from the CFMEU while southern branches are being investigated. The Victorian branch has been referred to the state's corruption watchdog. Mr Miles is also exploring how his party would disaffiliate from the CFMEU. Queensland's premier has confirmed he won't accept donations or meet with members of the Construction, Forestry and Maritime Employees Union (CFMEU) while its southern branches are under investigation.
