4RK, commonly referred to as ABC Capricornia, is one of the first regional radio stations of the ABC, starting its journey even before the organization was officially founded on July 1, 1932. It began its broadcasts on July 29, 1931, while owned by the Australian Broadcasting Company. At that time, it operated with a power of 2 kilowatts, and the transmission setup was created by Keith Thow from STC.
