Barry McDevitt was kind, intelligent and goofy with a bold sense of humor. He loved to sing anything and everything, from church hymns in the Trinity Methodist Church’s choir to rock hits like Bread's “It Don’t Matter to Me."He was a proud Air Force veteran, a passionate Lincoln elementary school teacher and an even better dad. He played the organ with gusto and loved to water ski at local lakes in the summers. He seemed to be a natural at just about anything he did.

If approved, Maher would earn $325,237 a year beginning July 1, up from the $315,000 annual salary under his current contract approved last year.
