RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The FDA just approved a new product to help reverse anaphylaxis without needing an EpiPen. It’s called “Neffy,” and it’s the first nasal spray to administer epinephrine, or adrenaline. The approval comes after four studies were done with 175 healthy adults, according to the FDA. A part of the approval is aiming to make it easier for the drug to be given to children, without the fear of poking them with a needle. The drug can be given to anybody who weighs over 66 pounds.

(WWBT) - The family and friends of the 24-year-old Chesterfield woman, Ja’Nya Richardson, who was shot and killed inside of her apartment at Birchwood at Boulders Sunday morning, shared her legacy on Tuesday. “She was a friend I could go to for a laugh, for a cry, a good time ... sometimes we could just sit around and be bored together,” Richardson’s best friend, Derneasha Pitman, recalled. “She had her whole life ahead of her,” she said sadly.

HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) - An 11-year-old boy from Henrico is in custody for threatening to blow up schools in multiple states and threatening mass shootings. Police say a week before school was over back in May, that 11-year-old made more than 20 calls to schools throughout the country claiming schools would get bombed or that a teacher had been shot. Many of those calls to Florida schools, and now, authorities are calling for his extradition.
