MUSKEGON, Mich. — On Tuesday, voters across Michigan took to the polls to vote on local millage proposals. In Muskegon County, several proposals were rejected by voters, including a millage that would fund renovations and an expansion for the Muskegon Museum of History and Sciences. In October 2023, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed two bills into law that required blood lead testing for all children in the state, and for the testing to be recorded on immunization records.
