    A scary situation unfolded in rural Elk Township in Vinton County on Wednesday morning, June 11, that resulted in township residents as well as the Village of Zaleski residents having to evacuate for safety reasons. The Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to announce that the unveiling of “The World’s Largest Acorn” will be on Saturday, June 14, at 12 p.m. at Central Memorial Park in the Village of Oak Hill.
