As New Jersey food writers, it’s our job to sample everything and anything — think of it as quality control. New Jersey has better bagels than New York — this is well-established. But the Garden State will still gladly welcome one of the city’s top bagel spots. Apollo Bagels, a bagel shop that opened in Manhattan earlier this year to much acclaim, is planning a new outpost across the river in Hoboken, an Apollo Bagels spokesperson told NJ Advance Media last week. No location or opening date has been set.
