Actually counting the crowd quickly became impossible, but it was clear that more than 600 people gathered in the rain to make their voices heard. Estimates ranged as high as between 700 and 800 people gathered at Railroad Plaza in downtown Warwick.

The drive is open to all residents of Orange County and will collect refrigerant-containing appliances to properly recycle them. This service (which usually costs $15) is free to everyone.

On Saturday, March 29 at about 10:40 a.m., the Town of Warwick Police Department, Warwick Fire Department and Warwick EMS responded to a motorcycle accident on County Route 1 at the intersection with Big Island Road. The operator of the motorcycle, a 79-year-old man from New Windsor, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted by a medivac helicopter to Westchester Medical Center. He was later pronounced deceased from the accident.
