BERLIN — Berlin High School’s salutatorian Patrick Kot stepped out of his comfort zone throughout high school and encouraged other students to do the same. Kot’s favorite subject in high school was math because of the challenges it provided. “I enjoy the logical aspect of the subject and the teachers themselves made the classes very enjoyable,” he said. NEW BRITAIN — Central Connecticut State University and Junior Achievement of Southwest New England Inc. have signed an agreement that will allow local high school students to earn academic credits at the college. NEW BRITAIN — The CT Breast Health Initiative’s (CT BHI) 21st annual Race In The Park will return May 11 at Walnut Hill Park. The event brings people from throughout the region together to raise money to advance breast cancer education and research initiatives in Connecticut.
