    Two years ago, ‘runner’ was the last word I’d have used to describe myself. Born with club foot (a foot defect that meant I was born with my left foot turned inward) and no interest whatsoever in the sport, outside a couple of half-hearted couch to 5k attempts I stuck to what I knew: strength training, walking, and the odd Pilates session. In 2023 however, I decided to challenge myself by signing up to Hackney Half. Then in October, I ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon.

    While we love running as much as the next fitness enthusiast, we're also huge advocates for low-impact cardio workouts like walking.
