According to a post on the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve’s Facebook page, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from May 6, 2025 through May 15, 2025, excluding Saturday and Sunday, the Nuttallburg Headhouse Trail will be temporarily closed.

According to a post on the City of Bluefield – Local Government’s Facebook page, the City of Bluefield Crew is working to replace some utility lines with Frontier and American Water due to a large sinkhole opening on Raleigh Street in the Bluefield area of Mercer County.

According to a press release from the West Virginia Department of Transportation, from 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 through Friday, May 9, 2025, a bridge closure will take place at milepost 1.69 on County Route 4, Lick Creek Road.
