That is how 13th ranked Coastal Carolina feels as they are set to host an NCAA Regional this weekend at Springs Brooks Stadium.

    MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – On Sunday, the 11th ranked Coastal Carolina Chanticleers defeated 12th ranked Southern Miss to claim their first Sun Belt Conference tournament championship since 2019. The Chants were led by senior Wells Sykes who finished the game 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBI’s. Sophomores Walker Mitchell and Colby Thorndyke both added RBI’s for CCU.

    MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – On Saturday, the 11th ranked Coastal Carolina Chanticleers defeated Marshall 6-1 to advance to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship. Jacob Morrison (11-0) picked up the win for the Chants on the mound after an impressive seven innings pitched. Morrison gave up five hits, two walks, and only allowed one earned run. Blake Barthol gave Coastal Caroline the lead in the first inning with a 2-run home run over the right field wall.

    FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Florence-Darlington Tech (51-10) is heading back to the NJCAA Division I World Series for the second consecutive season after defeating Harford Community College 7-6. The Stingers have found the win column 51 times in the 2024-25 season and will look to continue their success and bring back the NJCAA Division I National Championship trophy from Grand Junction, CO. Their 51 wins secured Florence-Darlington the sixth overall seed in tournament.

    FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Junior shortstop Madalyn White registered three hits, drove in three runs, and scored twice at the top of Patriot line-up as top-seeded and second-ranked Francis Marion University defeated fourth-seeded Wingate University 7-0, Saturday afternoon in the title game of the NCAA Division II Southeast sub-Regional Softball Tournament. Francis Marion, now 52-4, advances to host the NCAA Division II Southeast Super Regional on May 15-16.
