The Ocean Springs Greyhounds were back in action against the Gulfport Admirals for game two of their three-game series. Much like game one the Greyhounds came out on top, defeating the Admirals 5-1.

Another day, another south Mississippi student-athlete putting pen-to-paper to continue their academic and athletic careers. On Wednesday, Harrison Central senior Morgan Varhol let the ink dry on her national letter on intent to continue her volleyball career at the collegiate level while attending Reid State. In addition to her playing career in high school, Varhol played for the south Mississippi club for three seasons.

By Jevan McCoskey The St. Patrick Fighting Irish softball team began their playoff push towards a state title on Wednesday against Kemper County. The lady Irish are looking to make their way back to the 3A state championship game and they got off to an incredible start, defeating the Wildcats in two games. Both games ended by run-rule after three innings. Game one ended 22-0 in favor of St. Patrick and the Irish came on top in game two 21-0.

The defending 6A state champions saw a 6-2 lead disappear in the 5th inning as the Hancock Hawks took a one run lead in the second to last frame. Then the defending state champs did what they do best and battled back to pick up the road win over the Hawks, winning 9-8.
