A 16-year-old boy led Campbell County Sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed chase for more than 13 minutes Friday evening, rocketing up to 142 mph in a newly acquired black Cadillac, the agency says. Someone with the sheriff’s office watched the black, 2015 Cadillac ATS displaying a Wyoming temporary license shoot past on Highway 14-16 near Hannum Road on Friday, Quentin Reynolds, Campbell County Undersheriff, told Cowboy State Daily on Monday.

It’s not that the quote itself is controversial, it’s who said the quote. A small high school about 100 miles east of Lusk, Wyoming, raised some eyebrows this past week for their graduation announcement which prominently features an inspirational quote from O.J. Simpson. “The day you take complete responsibility for yourself, the day you stop making excuses, that’s the day you start to the top,” is the quote and it’s credited to O.J.’s full name — Orenthal James Simpson.

Ask any Wyoming resident and they'll tell you they are used to weather alerts like winter storm or high wind warnings but "severe odor alerts" aren't something usually issued. But citizens of Laramie got exactly that late Wednesday as the local police department issued a statement warning residents that foul smelling air will be prevalent in some parts of the town for the next 24 hours or so.

The latest round of vetoes from Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon appear to be the straws that broke the camel’s back. Both Sen. Cheri Steinmetz and Rep. John Bear issued strongly worded press releases Saturday asking legislative leadership to call a special session. Stating that Gordon’s vetoes were an “overreach of the executive branch,” Steinmetz said a special session was necessary so, as co-equals, the legislative branch could do its job.
