An active shooter situation is underway at the Oxford Valley Mall area in Middletown according to Bucks County state Sen. Frank Farry, who posted a request on social media. "Please avoid the area. Police, Fire &EMS are on scene. Please share and I will update when I have more information," Farry wrote on his Facebook page. Stores in the mall were closed, but the shopping center off Lincoln Highway was not shut down completely.

One man was injured Thursday evening in what law enforcement described as a "targeted" shooting that occurred outside the Oxford Valley Mall in Middletown. The unidentified victim was being treated at a hospital for a stab wound in the arm and a single gunshot to the elbow, Middletown Police Chief Joseph Bartorilla said in an update Thursday evening. Police have identified the victim, but his name was not immediately released.

A former Levittown man has been sentenced to probation for offering a child a ride in his truck earlier this year. Gene Louis Martin, 54, pleaded guilty last month in Bucks County Common Pleas Court to misdemeanor charges of harassment and disorderly conduct in the January 16 incident.
