Before the weather really turns to winter in the Twin Ports, there are still opportunities to get outside for a bicycle ride. Even once the snow starts to stick of course you can ride, for me personally it's just not my favorite. Until then, there is a great group ride opportunity that runs every Sunday through November 17th. The Sunday Slow Roll Group Ride welcomes beginners and bicycle riders of all levels to join them for a 1.5-mile ride.

A couple of months back several of us went to see Metallica at U.S. Bank Stadium for two nights of awesome. Prior to the first night, I had to grab a bottle of BLACKENED 72 Seasons Whiskey to add to the experience. Coming in at about 38 bucks for a bottle, I didn't feel the price point was bad for having the Metallica name behind it. It's a blend of straight rye and bourbon whiskeys which gets finished in black brandy barrels.

As we start to roll into the fall season in the Twin Ports, keep in mind there is still plenty going on as we turn the corner past summer. When it comes to police K9 pups, we usually think of the ones going after the bad guys. K9 officers work side-by-side with their handlers to sniff out drugs, aid in arrests, and help keep our communities safe. Just recently, the Superior Police Department added a new K9 to the crew but this pup, named Millie will serve in a unique capacity for the City of Superior as a therapy dog. One of my favorite events each fall is the Bayfield Apple Festival and 2024 marks it's 62nd year of all things apples. It happens the first full weekend in October and this year the event falls on the 4th, 5th, and 6th. Over the three days thousands of people will gather in the small town of Bayfield and while apples are the main focus, so much more goes on at this annual event.

I've purchased several concert tickets in the last year and for two of the shows, did it almost immediately when they went on sale. The first was for Metallica at US Bank Stadium where I wanted tickets for both the Friday and Sunday night shows on what was labeled a "No Repeat Weekend". The other set was for Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper at Xcel Energy Center which is tonight. For both of these shows, I spent way more money than I needed to because of Ticketmaster's dynamic ticket pricing.
