YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Prosecutors Thursday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court asked to revoke the bond of a man charged with felony domestic violence. In a motion filed before Judge Anthony D’Apolito, prosecutors asked that the recognizance bond for Michael Tomlin, 42, be revoked because he was arrested for domestic violence again while out on bond. Tomlin was charged April 30 in Youngstown Municipal Court with a fourth-degree felony domestic violence charge.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said an inmate Wednesday at the private prison received an injury to his hand from another inmate during a fight. Police were called about 11:25 a.m. to the Northeast Ohio Correctional Center, 2240 Hubbard Road, where a staff member told them an inmate had his hand sliced open by another inmate with a home made knife made out of a crutch, then had his fingers mangled when a cell door was slammed on his other hand.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — City police late Wednesday cited a juvenile who ran from officers who were called to a South Side street for a large crowd and gunfire, and they also found a handgun. Police were called at about 11:10 p.m. to the 3000 block of Idlewood Avenue for a report of a large fight and gunfire, and when officers showed up, several cars began leaving the area, and people were running.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said city police Wednesday afternoon found a handgun on a man who was part of a large crowd on a South Side street in front of a home, wanting to fight. Deshawn Bradford, 19, was booked into the Mahoning County jail on a charge of carrying concealed weapons, a fourth-degree felony. He is expected to be arraigned Friday in municipal court.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Detectives are investigating after a woman was wounded early Thursday on the East Side. Lt. Mohammad Awad of the Detective Bureau said the woman was shot about 4:20 a.m. on North Garland Avenue by someone she knew. A few hours after the shooting, police arrested a suspect after patrol officers spotted her car and pulled it over. The suspect will be charged with felonious assault and booked into the Mahoning County jail.
