YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said police arrested suspects and seized four guns, drugs and cash on Wednesday while serving two separate search warrants investigating drug activity. About 6 p.m. at a 162 S. Pearl St. home on the East Side, police reported finding fentanyl, a digital scale, 36 suboxone strips, an AR-15 pistol and a 7.62mm pistol. Arrested on a charge of possession of fentanyl, a fifth-degree felony, was John Myles, 38.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Prosecutors said Wednesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court that a man facing child sex abuse material charges already had his bond amended once, and it shouldn’t be amended again. They made their argument in a brief filed before Judge Anthony Donofrio to oppose bond for Rolando Guzman-Sosa, 28, who faces 20 fourth-degree felony counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said an 83-year-old man was booked into the Mahoning County jail late Thursday after he forced his way into an apartment and pulled a knife during an argument over a woman. Charles Ratliff is expected to be arraigned later Friday in municipal court on a charge of aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony. He was arrested at about 10:15 p.m. at a Market Street apartment building. Police arrested Ratliff after they were called to the building for a fight.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Mahoning County grand jury Wednesday indicted a man arrested for a fight at the Rescue Mission of Youngstown last month. Kenneth Newton, 26, is charged with two counts of felonious assault, a second-degree felony. He has been in the Mahoning County jail on $35,000 bond since his arraignment in municipal court. Newton was arrested May 26 after police were called to the mission at 1300 Martin Luther King Blvd. for a report of a fight.
