The sound of basketballs hitting the hardwood is music to our ears. That could only mean basketball season has returned. Nine boys and girls teams reached the Section VI semifinal and seven appeared in the finals. And, the Niagara Falls boys and Starpoint and Lewiston-Porter girls won sectional hardware, with the Wolverines advancing to states for the first time since 2019. As the calendar flips to the new season, all 22 teams are eager for another chapter to start.
