Niagara Gazette
The Niagara Gazette is a daily newspaper that comes out in the morning and is based in Niagara Falls, New York. It serves various areas in Niagara County, including the City of Niagara Falls and the Town of Niagara. From 1954 to 1997, the paper was owned by Gannett. However, when Gannett purchased Buffalo's WGRZ, federal regulations mandated that they sell the Niagara Gazette. As a result, Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. acquired the Gazette along with several other local newspapers, such as the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal and the previously published Tonawanda News.

GRAND ISLAND — Jayce Wylke didn’t get to bring Grand Island its first Section VI championship since 1992, but he’s leaving the program better than he found it. The Vikings won four games the year before Wylke arrived and won four again during his freshman campaign. Since then it has been a gradual climb, with Grand Island’s team success mirroring his individual improvement.
