Niagara Gazette

Niagara Gazette

The Niagara Gazette is a daily newspaper that comes out in the morning and is based in Niagara Falls, New York. It serves various areas in Niagara County, including the City of Niagara Falls and the Town of Niagara. From 1954 to 1997, the paper was owned by Gannett. However, when Gannett purchased Buffalo's WGRZ, federal regulations mandated that they sell the Niagara Gazette. As a result, Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. acquired the Gazette along with several other local newspapers, such as the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal and the previously published Tonawanda News.

In trading winger JJ Peterka to the Utah Mammoth, the Buffalo Sabres created a big, possibly temporary, hole in their lineup. Michael Kesserling, the top asset the Sabres received in exchange for Peterka, fills their need for a right-shot defenseman. Winger Josh Doan, the other player acquired early Thursday morning, will likely be utilized on the third or fourth line. kAm$F556?=J[ E96 $23C6D ?665 2 E@A\D:I 7@CH2C5 E@ C6A=246 !6E6C<2[ H9@ D4@C65 af 8@2=D 2?5 2 42C66C\9:89 eg A@:?ED :?

When defenseman Michael Kesselring recently played alongside Sabres winger Tage Thompson with Team USA at the World Championship, he joked KeyBank Center in Buffalo was his favorite NHL arena. On Nov. 12, 2023 in Buffalo, Kesselring scored his first NHL goal for the Arizona Coyotes against, of all goalies, Devon Levi, his former college teammate at Northeastern. kAm“$@ x 42? 8:G6 9:> 2 =:EE=6 >@C6 4C2A 23@FE :E 2 =:EE=6 3:E >@C6 @7E6?

For all intents and purposes, "28 Years Later" is a zombie movie. And when it comes to zombie movies, all roads lead from "Night Of The Living Dead." The classic from 1968 is directed by George Romero, and it set a terrifying template for all the zombie and wannabe zombie films that have followed. Currently playing in theaters, "28 Years Later" is the sequel to the masterful "28 Days Later" from 2002, as well as the good, but not great, "28 Weeks Later" from 2007.

ORCHARD PARK – Kevyn Adams said he has given Lindy Ruff the green light to change his staff. The general manager even noted the coach has spoken to people about joining the Buffalo Sabres. But right now, it appears Ruff, 65, will bring back the assistant coaches he worked with last season, when the Sabres mustered 79 points and finished 14th in the Eastern Conference. kAm|@DE E62>D[ @7 4@FCD6[ =:<6=J H@F=5?’E CF? 324< E96 D2>6 DE277 7@==@H:?8 2? NEW YORK — The stunning success of Zohran Mamdani, a 33-year-old self-described democratic socialist, in the race for New York City mayor has exposed anew the fiery divisions plaguing the Democratic Party as it struggles to repair its brand nearly half a year into Donald Trump's presidency. A fresh round of infighting erupted among Democratic officials, donors and political operatives on Wednesday, a day after Mamdani’s leading opponent, former New York Gov.
