Niagara Gazette

Niagara Gazette

The Niagara Gazette is a daily newspaper that comes out in the morning and is based in Niagara Falls, New York. It serves various areas in Niagara County, including the City of Niagara Falls and the Town of Niagara. From 1954 to 1997, the paper was owned by Gannett. However, when Gannett purchased Buffalo's WGRZ, federal regulations mandated that they sell the Niagara Gazette. As a result, Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. acquired the Gazette along with several other local newspapers, such as the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal and the previously published Tonawanda News.

This crisp, colorful salad gets meaty, briny flavor from oil-cured olives and fruity tang from pomegranate molasses. It’s light and fresh, but hearty enough to serve for brunch or a light supper. In this recipe from our cookbook, “Milk Street 365: The All-Purpose Cookbook for Every Day of the Year,” we supplement sweet romaine lettuce with pleasantly bitter radicchio and also toss in some parsley (or mint, or a combination of the two) for added aroma and herbal notes.

A combination shot for flu and COVID-19 using messenger RNA generated antibodies in a study, but U.S. government regulators want to see data on whether the new vaccine protects people from getting sick. Researchers from vaccine-maker Moderna reported in a study published Wednesday that the new combo shot generated a stronger immune response against COVID-19 and most strains of flu than existing standalone shots in people 50 and older. Side effects were injection site pain, fatigue and headaches.

BUFFALO — It’s rare for a U.S. Supreme Court justice to speak outside of the marbled and wood-paneled courtroom in Washington, D.C.And even rarer when it’s the chief justice who is speaking publicly. That’s part of what made Supreme Court Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr.’s appearance in Buffalo Wednesday night so remarkable.
