    ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis area is under a Level 3 (out of 5) risk for severe storms Wednesday afternoon. However, there’s some uncertainty about whether we’ll see severe weather, depending on how overnight storms develop west of us. If overnight storms from Kansas stay strong and move through St. Louis around sunrise Wednesday, they may push the main area for new storms farther south and east. That would allow us to miss the worst of the afternoon severe threat.
