    WEST MONORE, La. (KTVE/KARD) —We are continuing to monitor the threat for isolated strong to severe storms in the Ark-La-Miss region. Much of the central and southern United States is expecting a significant severe weather event to unfold this weekend. Widespread damaging wind gusts, very large hail, and numerous tornadoes will be possible over numerous states tonight through Sunday.

    WEST MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — Tonight will be relatively uneventful. Low temperatures reside in the upper 50s and lower 60s with winds out of the south. Clouds will increase through the night ahead of the frontal system expected tomorrow evening. We will likely remain rain free for the night. Regarding tomorrow (Friday) through Saturday:An intense mid-latitude storm system will sweep through the central United States on Friday.

    WEST MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) —Tonight will be quite tame in comparison to the active day we are potentially going to have here in the Ark-La-Miss tomorrow. Low temperatures will reside near the upper 50s as moisture pools from the south. Winds are also out of the south-southwest, ranging from 5-10 mph. Isolated showers are possible but, will exit eastward through the evening ahead of an advancing frontal system. Tomorrow: A dynamic, upper-level storm system brings a cold front through the region.

(KARD/KTVE)— The Ark-La-Miss should prepare for a long day of weather watching, as the potential for severe weather expands across the area this morning, into the afternoon, and early evening. Ingredients have gathered for significant severe weather potential, including the risk of damaging wind gusts, tornadoes, hail, and heavy rainfall. Residents are strongly encouraged to stay weather-aware throughout the day.

    WEST MONROE, La. — (8/12/2024) Heat Advisories return to the ArkLaMiss over the next several days, as the “Dog Days of Summer” continue to flex their muscles across much of the southern United States. Rain chances will remain miniscule through the early half of the week. High pressure ridging aloft will continue to control the forecast through much of this week. While low level moisture will be on the increase, rain chances will stay limited.
