Knox News journalists were honored with 39 citations for their work in 2024 by the Society of Professional Journalists. Honored work ran the gamut from investigative reporting to breaking news to podcasting to video. Investigative reporter Tyler Whetstone was awarded the prestigious Horace V. Wells Jr. Community Service Award for the third time in four years. Knox News captured all four awards for large newspapers for its coverage of Hurricane Helene breaking and in-depth coverage.
