GREELEY, COLO. — JBS USA has unveiled plans to build a new $135 million sausage processing plant in Perry, Iowa. Once local approval is granted, construction will begin in late 2025 with a completion date of late 2026. The new facility is expected to produce 130 million lbs of sausage per year, processing 500,000 hogs annually and will start up operations with 250 employees working a single shift. Ultimately, the workforce will build up to 500 workers at the plant when a second shift is added.

GREELEY, COLO. – Officials with JBS USA and its poultry processing subsidiary, Pilgrim’s Pride, held a grand opening event for its new employee housing and childcare facilities on May 28, near the company’s poultry plant in Moorefield, W. Va.The $14.8 million complex includes 160 apartment units within walking distance of the plant. The units are available for employees and their families to rent at affordable rates that the company said will not increase for 15 years.
