HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) — The RBC Heritage is heating up and fans are rolling in ready for a great week in the Lowcountry. Humans weren’t the only things watching the fun round on Wednesday. Just off the first tee, fans, media and golfers were joined by some interesting spectators, some sun-loving reptiles. Pro-Am day wrapped up Wednesday and the PGA pros are getting ready for Thursday’s first round. The action off the course has already started, with the fans and their appetites gearing up.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) — For Bluffton resident Brian Campbell, the world is moving very fast right now. He’s living his dream of playing on the PGA Tour. Last week, he lived every golfer’s dream of playing in the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club. This week, he is playing closer to home. Campbell is originally from Irvine, Cal. and played collegiately at the University of Illinois. He moved to the Bluffton area to be closer to his girlfriend.

What the major announcement is unclear. She did not specify her plans for the future. Towards the end of the Instagram post, she said, “Stay tuned for a major announcement soon.”Johnson has a couple of options at her disposal if she were considering leaving LSU.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Savannah native Brian Harman and Bluffton resident Brian Campbell shot over par in the third round of the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club on April 12. Harman played well for most of the day. However, the par-3, 16th was not kind to Harman. He hit if his first shot in the water. He played his third shot maybe 30 yards in front of his tee shot. The ball landed toward the back of the green leaving him a lagg putt. Unfortunately, he three-putted for a triple bogey.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WSAV) — Savannah native Brian Harman and Bluffton resident Brian Campbell made the cut at the 2025 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club on April 11. The cut line, which for the Master is the top 50 players and ties, finished at two over par. Harman made the cut with ease. He shot 71 on Thursday and Friday for a total of 142. He is two shots under par and tied for 17th.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WSAV) — Wednesday at Augusta National Golf Club saw several players take advantage of the last day of preparation before the start of the 2025 Masters. A couple of players to keep an eye on locally are Savannah native Brian Harman and Bluffton resident Brian Campbell. Harman seeks his second career major championship. The Savannah Christian alum won the 2023 Open Championship. He enters the week after a triumph at the Valero Texas Open last week.
