OMAHA, Ne. (WOWT) - The cleanup is already underway, and there’s a lot of stuff to clean up in northwest Douglas County. The storm, believe it or not, showed some mercy here. First responders told First Alert 6 it could’ve been worse. “We arrived to find significant damage to approximately four houses that had significant damages that will not be livable,” Irvington Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Roger Peek said.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Get ready for more discussion on the development of the Crossroads Mall site. Work on the site has been travelling in the slow lane for years now. Recently, the third development partner has been named, and a new agreement is in the works to help speed things up. Right now, the Crossroads site just isn't very pretty. Frankly, it kind of looks abandoned. However, there are still plans to dress this place up. New designs call for taking down the parking garage.

Thursday's session wasn't very special, though. Just more debate on how to cut property taxes in the state. Sen. Steve Erdman doesn't believe this special session will be a success.
