A 46 year old man has now been charged with murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault in connection to Constable Keith Smith being fatally shot at a property in Tasmania’s North West on Monday. The North Motton man who’s been hospital for treatment of a non life threatening injury had a bedside court sitting and will reappear at a later date. A second day of searching hasn’t found a Victorian man in Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain area. Tasmania Police, SES and Parks and Wildlife Service search and rescue teams are scourging bushland, with helicopters conducting searches from the air. Concerns for the welfare of 52 year old Christopher Inwood were raised yesterday morning (Tuesday) when his van was found in the car park of the ranger station and his backpack around half a kilometre away on Cradle Mountain Road.
