There’s no doubt that the sector has a strong appetite for innovation and growth. At Allica Bank we recently surveyed 450 business owners to gauge this appetite. Two-thirds of those we spoke to are hoping to raise investment finance during 2025, while nearly half are looking to invest in emerging technologies in search of efficiencies.

    Cryptographic algorithms are essential to online security, and at Amazon Web Services (AWS), we implement cryptographic algorithms in our open-source cryptographic library, AWS LibCrypto (AWS-LC), based on code from Google’s BoringSSL project. AWS-LC offers AWS customers implementations of cryptographic algorithms that are secure and optimized for AWS hardware.

    Most secure transactions online are protected by public-key encryption schemes like RSA, whose security depends on the difficulty of factoring large numbers. Public-key encryption improves security because it enables the encrypted exchange of private keys. But because it depends on operations like modular exponentiation of large integers, it introduces significant computational overhead.
