PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - Police say a man who allegedly assaulted a firefighter then barricaded himself inside a home in the Tacony section of the city Friday morning is now in custody. Officials say after the assault, the suspect ran into a home on the 7100 block of Jackson Street, a couple of blocks away from Cottman Avenue. SWAT officers were called to the scene. The man was arrested just before 1 p.m.The lieutenant's condition and what led to the attack is unknown.

EVESHAM, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) - Police in Evesham, Burlington County, are looking for a man they described as in his 20s, who they said exposed himself to shoppers at a clothing store. Lieutenant Daniel Burdette with Evesham Police said officers were called to a Marshall's on Route 73 for a lewdness complaint. "Staff at the store were approached by some patrons who complained about a male that had entered the store and exposed his genitals around patrons that were shopping in the store," he said.

The plaintiffs, a group of current and former Penn students, filed the federal lawsuit a couple of months after the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel.

A van driver for a Christian School in Bear, Delaware, has been charged and arrested for raping a student multiple times over seven months. New Castle County Police said 34-year-old Joseph Caceres of Bear, Delaware, was employed as a van driver for Red Lion Christian Academy. He is accused of raping a 14-year-old student between November 2024 and May 2025.

NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) - Four grey seals made their way back to the ocean this week thanks to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine. The nonprofit has tended to 65 seals since December. "That's the ones we relocated, ones that died in the wild that we found. So far, we released 14 seals into the wild. We still have five to go," said Sheila Dean, the nonprofit's director.
