BAYVILLE, NJ — What's summer without delicious hot dogs, a ride on the Tilt-a-Whirl or checking out farm animals? The Ocean County Fair has set its dates for 2025, returning once again to Robert J. Miller Airpark in Berkeley Township. This year's fair runs July 9 through 13, and a full slate of events is planned for each day. NEW JERSEY — May has been peppered with rain and unseasonable chill, but changes are on the way, according to the early June forecast for the Garden State. New Jersey should expect above average temperatures for June, particularly at the start of the month, according to the long-range forecast from the Climate Prediction Center (see below). That means that by next week, we could be seeing temperatures rise into the 80s.

JERSEY SHORE — Cape May and Atlantic County beaches are some of the best. And according to USA Today, seven of them are in the top 10 best beaches in the state, the news outlet announced Wednesday. Based on nominations from an expert panel and voted into the top 10 by readers, the best beaches in New Jersey stretch from Asbury Park down to Cape May. But the list is primarily made up of beaches in the Cape Atlantic area. The number one beach? That's the Wildwoods, according to USA Today readers.

MAYS LANDING, NJ β A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with an SUV in Mays Landing on Memorial Day, the Township of Hamilton Police Department said. Vance Virtue, 71, was riding his motorcycle on Weymouth Road near Winding River Campground around 3 p.m. Monday, police said. Virtue, an Egg Harbor Township resident, crashed into a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox that was heading south on Weymouth Road, police said. The SUV was turning left when Virtue struck it, police said.
