CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ — Take a look at the Cape May County Zoo's newest resident - a male zebra foal born last month. Lydia and Ziggy, members of the zoo's Grant's zebra herd, welcomed their baby boy on May 21 (see below photo). He is the first male zebra foal to be born at the zoo in recent years. The final budget was presented at a special meeting on June 4; it was approved by a 5-2 vote. The major difference between this budget and the previous version that failed is that it adds back in enough staff to eliminate grade banding, Acting Superintendent William Zylinski explained. However, "it does come with some pain," he said.
