- Advertisement -Please Support Local Advertisers IPSWICH — Although May has started off wet, a portion of the North Shore is still experiencing a moderate drought, according to the weekly update from the U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM). However, conditions are improving state wide. Just over one-fifth (20.53%) of Massachusetts now has no drought, the USDM update said. It measures conditions for the week ending at 7 a.m. Tuesday and releases its reports on Thursday.

They pointed to a drought-restrictions banner overhead and said the town’s ability to supply water is one of their main concerns. Town meeting starts at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, at the Dolan Performing Arts Center.
