Police are probing a suspected "petrol bomb" attack at a house in Stockton. Cleveland Police says that an attempt was made to set a car alight, then a brick and ignited flammable liquid were thrown through the window of a house. The incident happened at a property on Dover Road in Ragworth Stockton at around 1.45am, Sunday, April 27. The occupants managed to put out the fire on the car quickly. The front window to the house was smashed and there was some scorch damage to the window frame.

A stretch of the A66 has been closed following a collision. Cleveland Police issued a statement saying that the road is closed at the junction of Church Lane in Grangetown. Motorists have been asked to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.

Police officers have been thanked for helping a vulnerable woman who had entered the sea in Redcar. Redcar’s response officers have been praised for their calm professionalism while dealing with the young woman who had gone into the sea off Redcar Esplanade late on Tuesday evening, April 22. A third party had raised concerns for the woman. Sgt Wilkinson, along with PCs Gray and Sell, went to the scene shortly after midnight and discovered the woman was in the sea - as the caller had feared.

A man and two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder two weeks on from an incident in Billingham. The arrests were made in connection with an incident on Friday, April 11. Emergency services were called shortly before 4.45pm to Station Road, near the junction with Allendale Road, with Cleveland Police saying officers were initially called to reports of a disturbance.

The Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) North East has taken over the investigation "due to the circumstances surrounding the incident". Police are investigating an incident after a car was driven through a garden fence to a property in Stockton The incident happened shortly before 11.30pm, Friday April 25. A silver Honda ended up facing towards the street after smashing through the fence on the corner of Keverstone Close and Kimblesworth Walk in Hardwick. People living nearby told how they heard emergency service sirens just before midnight. A police cordon was set up, with several officers guarding the scene.

Three individuals have been injured following an incident involving a man armed with weapons along the Otley Run. West Yorkshire Police are currently attending to the "ongoing serious incident" on Otley Road, Leeds, having been alerted at 2.47pm on Saturday about a man spotted with multiple weapons. Upon arrival of armed police officers, it was discovered that three people had sustained injuries in the attack. A suspect was promptly located and apprehended by the police.
