    Police are probing a suspected "petrol bomb" attack at a house in Stockton. Cleveland Police says that an attempt was made to set a car alight, then a brick and ignited flammable liquid were thrown through the window of a house. The incident happened at a property on Dover Road in Ragworth Stockton at around 1.45am, Sunday, April 27. The occupants managed to put out the fire on the car quickly. The front window to the house was smashed and there was some scorch damage to the window frame.

    Police officers have been thanked for helping a vulnerable woman who had entered the sea in Redcar. Redcar’s response officers have been praised for their calm professionalism while dealing with the young woman who had gone into the sea off Redcar Esplanade late on Tuesday evening, April 22. A third party had raised concerns for the woman. Sgt Wilkinson, along with PCs Gray and Sell, went to the scene shortly after midnight and discovered the woman was in the sea - as the caller had feared.
