The Easter weekend is almost upon us - and there's no better way to celebrate Good Friday than a classic chippy tea. Fish and chips are a British staple, and tucking into the takeaway treat on the special Easter holiday is a tradition for people across the UK. With Teesside being home to a beautiful stretch of coastline, it's no surprise that so many of us love a hefty serving of battered cod and a portion of salty homemade chips.

A tragic incident has claimed the lives of a 46-year-old British man and a 17-year-old boy who drowned while on holiday in Australia, reports say. The Britons were caught in a riptide on a popular tourist beach along the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef on Sunday. The BBC reports that the duo were swimming at an unguarded beach in the Queensland town of Seventeen Seventy, named for Captain James Cook's year of landing in Australia. Notedly absent from this location are lifeguard patrols.
