BATON ROUGE, La. (LouisianaFirst) — The Southern University men’s basketball team remains undefeated in SWAC play after an 81-68 win over Alabama A&M on Saturday. Joe Manning led the Jaguars with 22 points, shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from the field and 6-for-6 from three-point range. Cam Amboree added 14 points, four assists, and two steals. With the win, Southern improves to 15-8 overall and 10-0 in SWAC play. The Jaguars return to action Monday against Alabama State in Montgomery.

The National Association of Police Athletic Leagues and the BRidge Agency chapter are partnering to give the students a rare experience. They will tour Xavier University, attend a School Leadership Symposium, and volunteer at the Player Networking Event. Organizers say they hope the trip inspires the future of the participants.
