The station is owned by White Knight Broadcasting and is managed by Nexstar Media Group through joint sales and shared services agreements. This arrangement makes it a sibling station to WGMB-TV, a Fox affiliate on channel 44, as well as two Class A stations: WBRL-CD, which is affiliated with The CW on channel 21, and KZUP-CD, an independent station on channel 19. All four stations share facilities located on Perkins Road in Baton Rouge, while WVLA's transmitter can be found near Addis, Louisiana.
