Cool and unsettled weather is in the forecast, though it’s expected to be mostly rain, it could get more wintry above about 2,500 feet. No serious accumulation is expected though.

Cold and unsettled weather is expected this weekend with snow and freezing rain in the forecast. Some of the highest elevation areas could receive up to about 4 inches of new snow tonight. Below about 2,500 feet in elevation there is very little snow, but above there expect to encounter two to four feet.

After a dramatic warming and thaw this week, it’s turned colder just in time for the weekend, with some new snow at the higher elevations. It will remain unsettled until Sunday. There is still about 30 inches of snow at the stake at Lake Colden, but lower elevations are patchy at best.
