The wet weather we’ve experienced all week will continue through Saturday, but much drier and warmer weather is in store for next week. Hypothermia will remain a threat for this weekend however, especially with the cooler weather we’re currently experiencing. Rivers are rising, but should not reach above bankfull.

The drier weather we’ve been experiencing is coming to an end and showers are expected on and off through the weekend, along with increasingly cooler weather. High Peaks summits, where some snow remains amongst plenty of mud, will see temperatures in the 40s and rain - that’s cold enough for hypothermia if you’re not prepared.

There is a chance of scattered precipitation tonight into tomorrow, before drier and warmer weather arrives on Sunday. Rain and high winds are expected on Saturday on High Peaks summits. Whitewater rafting has begun and waters are at or just below their normal levels for this time of year.
