Thursday night's double shooting happened in a very populated area, near the Ulu Wehi Housing Complex which is along Farrington Highway and surrounded by three different schools, including Waianae High School.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - City officials are moving to terminate a towing contract with All Island Automotive Towing after the city said an audit revealed it had been overcharging hundreds of drivers. All Island Wreckers, also known as All Island Automative Towing, was contracted by the city in January 2023 and city officials were made aware of the complaints about the fees during the mayor's town hall in Mililani on April 6, 2023.

It's surrounded by apartments and those who live near the bridge are worried about their safety. Jonathan Lee manages Punahou Gardens on Wilder Avenue. The Makiki Stream flows through their property. The homeless encampment can be seen from the walkway to one of their parking lots.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Customers flocked to businesses in the Downtown-Chinatown area on Friday, seeking to help buoy businesses left struggling after a days-long power outage. The outage last 67 hours, forcing many businesses to close their doors and throw out inventory. But at Cindy's Lei Shoppe on Friday, there was no sign of any slowdown. In fact, customers were flowing in and out.

HONOLULU (KHNL/Gray News) - The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a Southwest Airlines flight suddenly dropped thousands of feet while traveling to a Hawaiian island. Bloomberg reported that the plane came within 400 feet of the ocean. The April 11 flight was reportedly an inter-island hop from the main Honolulu airport to Lihue airport on the neighboring island of Kauai.
