    Before 1949, it was illegal to manufacture or sell yellow margarine in Ohio. A citizen initiative brought an end to the ban, with residents voting overwhelming in favor of yellow margarine. The hottest issue on the ballot in the Buckeye State during the Nov. 8, 1949, general election was whether or not Ohioans should be allowed to purchase colored margarine. Since 1887, colored margarine had been banned in Ohio on behalf of the state's dairy industry.

    UHRICHSVILLE − Work is progressing on a major project by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to replace the concrete pavement at the busy McCauley Drive intersection in Uhrichsville. Motorists should expect some delays while work is being done. One traffic lane will be maintained on U.S. 250 in both directions at this location with an 11-foot width restriction. Concrete will also be replaced on the westbound off ramp from U.S. 36 to U.S. 250. A short-term closure will occur on the off ramp.

    Last summer, Howard Dugger of Dover achieved his goal of visiting all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums. The last stadium he visited was the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks in Phoenix. Now, he wants to help his son Sidney visits all 30 parks. Sidney has been to 21. DOVER ‒ Howard Dugger has been a fan of Major Little Baseball since he was a kid attending Atlanta Braves games in his home state of Georgia.
