HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Action 13 stepped in to help get fast results on Friday for Houston resident Angelica Ortega. Ortega contacted the ABC13 newsroom late Thursday night, saying she had been charged more than $1,000 in two different failed attempts to buy tickets to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo's Bun B concert. After completing the purchases, Ortega says she only got error messages, and no email about tickets.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- It is no news to anyone that Harris County gets dangerously hot. However, a new heat mapping study released Tuesday by the Houston Harris Heat Action Team documents the area's urban heat islands: certain neighborhoods that get much hotter than others under the same conditions because of their infrastructure and lack of green space. The data is eye-opening and shows where residents are most vulnerable to extreme heat. On Aug.

ByJonathan BruceWednesday, February 26, 2025 12:17AMHOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- When St. John's guard Lily Dunlap drilled a three-pointer in the early minutes of a game against St. Francis last December, her head covered in a black beanie and her body still wracked from the toxins that had ravaged it, the cheers that exploded across the gym sounded more like victory cries. In May of that same year, the 16-year-old sophomore had been diagnosed with cancer.

No. 3 Texas and No. 15 Texas A&M head into this weekend on a collision course for one of the most anticipated college football games in years. But they both need to survive upset-minded opponents this weekend to set the stage. ESPN's Peter Burns outlined the stakes in an interview with ABC13 this week. "If Texas and Texas A&M both win this weekend, it would be the most anticipated game since "The Game of the Century" between Alabama and LSU in 2011 in Tuscaloosa. And that one lived up to the hype.

To be clear -- though he's fat, lazy, steals our food, wakes our infants, breaks our plants, sheds pounds of hair, etc. -- I love my dog Dakota and would be crestfallen if he weren't around. Mom actually made me apologize to him when I got home 😋🐶❤️

Someone literally just went off script 😂😂😬........from a BIG Dog Lover to trying to get rid of their Dog 🐕😭 @JonathanABC13 @MayraABC13 https://t.co/Rm9ZfauCes

Utter shock and devastation throughout our newsroom tonight. Chauncey was such a talent who made a remarkable impact in so many ways. So young. So sad & tragic. #RIP https://t.co/PyggaGd2YO

This is a relief and overdue for #Saints fans. But I'm short of celebrating - he's a human who worked hard, there are SO many roster issues a coach won't change, and he was a big part of a lot of winning in New Orleans. Just never worked as the guy. @Saints

Another coaching change: Saints have fired head coach Dennis Allen, sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/D1t7gyS4dX
