AUSTIN — City View's freshman phenom lived up to the hype Thursday at the UIL State Track & Field Meet. Khloe Washington raced to a gold medal in the Class 3A girls 100 hurdles, blistering the track at Mike A. Myer Stadium with a wind-aided time of 13.96 seconds. Washington also competed in the long jump Thursday morning, placing fourth in the 18-feet, 7¼-inches. She finished a day with one more medal in her state debut, claiming third in the 400 in 56.42 to claim bronze.
