New snow is forecast for northern Colorado's ski areas and high country heading into the second weekend of April after a 5-day warm period. Possible snow could top a foot in some Front Range Mountains locations. More snow is forecast from Friday, April 18 to early Sunday, April 20 morning (Easter Sunday), with the potential for another several inches plus. A case of measles was confirmed Monday in Denver County by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in an unvaccinated resident under 1-year-old. Babies normally get the routine dose of measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine at 12-15 months. The infant recently traveled with family to an area of Chihuahua, Mexico, which is experiencing an ongoing measles outbreak.

One person is dead after crashing a vehicle into a RTD light rail train Tuesday morning in Lone Tree. Crews with South Metro Fire Rescue responded to the light rail station near 10200 Station Way for a report of a crash involving a train, South Metro Fire posted on the social platform X. The accident was first reported around 1:23 a.m.The train had stopped near the C-470 and Interstate 25 interchange, according to South Metro Fire.
