GOLD CREEK — As schools across Montana reach the end of their year, it’s a much more significant moment for one rural school in Powell County, which will soon be closing its doors for the final time. For more than 100 years, if you entered a building on the south side of the small community of Gold Creek, you’d hear the sounds of kids in school.
