ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Friday, May 9, was Big Check Day for Ector County ISD. Real Thanx honors both active and retired military service members by getting them back in nature. “I’m very excited,” said Alejandro Rivera, a Veteran and member of Reel Thanx Group 66. Reel Thanx was founded in 2007 and provides military heroes with an all expense paid fishing trip. These trips are hosted three times a year with around six members per trip.
