Former Owensboro High School star quarterback Gavin Wimsatt has settled into his new college football home over the last few months — and he’ll get a chance to put his recent work on display when Jacksonville State hosts its spring football game on Thursday. Wimsatt, a former four-star prospect who led the Red Devils to the 2020 KHSAA Class 5-A state championship game, landed at Jacksonville State in January through the transfer portal after spending last season as a key reserve at Kentucky.
