After entering for her first at-bat of the game in the bottom of the seventh inning, sophomore Madalyn Roberts got on base with a single, and junior catcher Liza Page's RBI base hit to center field moments later lifted the Apollo High School softball team to a 3-2 walk-off win over district foe Owensboro Catholic on Monday at E-Gal Park. With the victory, Apollo improved to 6-8 overall and 1-2 against 9th District competition.

The Apollo High School baseball team is looking to take a step forward in its evolution this spring, especially offensively, as the Eagles look for their second regional title in the last three seasons. Apollo (3-3) is coming off of a 23-9 campaign last season, a year after marching to the KHSAA State Baseball Tournament semifinals. Though the Eagles lost six key contributors to graduation, they're more than confident in the talent they've returned in 2025. kAmQx?

With much of its production returning in 2025, the Apollo High School softball team is poised for what the E-Gals hope is a tremendous season ahead. Apollo (3-4) won its last two outings at the Lagoon Park Softball Complex in Montgomery, Alabama, earning wins against out-of-state competition.
