FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The second of two women charged in connection with a 1-year-old girl’s 2023 death accepted a plea offer Tuesday. Chrisona Bright was charged with neglect resulting in death several months after the baby girl died while in her and Sharon Myers’ care. Police were called to Bright and Myers’ home on Aug. 10, 2023, after receiving reports that the baby was unconscious and struggling to breathe, court records show.

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WPTA) - A 38-year-old Fort Wayne man has been identified as the homicide suspect who died following a chase and shooting involving multiple police agencies. Christifer Debus led police on a chase from Fort Wayne to Columbia City after the deadly shooting of Jeremiah Donald Lothamer in the 1600 block of Hinton Drive. Police believe Debus killed Lothamer. When the chase ended in Columbia City, a shootout between Debus and police began.

(WPTA) - A 32-year-old Grabill man facing seven felony charges in connection with alleged sexual assaults dating back more than a decade is set to appear in court for the first time on the allegations on Wednesday. BACKGROUND: Two child molesting cases filed against Grabill man facing similar charges in DeKalb CountyChris Graber is accused of sexually assaulting two girls, one between the ages of 13 and 15 and another between the ages of 11 and 13, between 2012 and 2020.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The 46-year-old Fort Wayne man killed in a fatal shooting that led to a police chase and the death of the man suspected of killing him has been identified. Jeremiah Donald Lothamer died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Allen County Coroner’s Office. His death has been ruled a homicide. He was shot in the 1600 block of Hinton Drive on Sunday and was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 39-year-old Fort Wayne man was sentenced Tuesday to 12 years in prison for child molesting after accepting a plea deal in the case last month. Joseph Offerle was charged with three counts of child molesting last year, which carry a potential sentence of more than 90 years in prison.
