Share FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Tatiana Jackson, her husband and three kids had to evacuate their apartment after their building went up in flames. Tatiana has lived at Baldwin Creek Apartments for five years, she says it was painful to see it for the first time since it caught fire. “It hurts, because we were hopeful we were gonna be able to get in and just grab necessities for the kids and when the fire restarted we were just like ‘oh’, it just kind of put a pause,” says Tatiana.

Share FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - November is National Adoption Month and November 20 has been declared Adoption Day in Allen County. Leaders with The Allen County Department of Child Services and Allen Superior Court celebrated the adoptions of around 40 local children. Organizers say this is a special day to celebrate and honor families who adopt. 21Alive spoke with the Young family, who tell us they’ve adopted six kids this year alone. Three of them were adopted on Adoption Day.

Muncie, Ind. (WPTA) - Police are investigating after shots were fired at a party in Muncie. Police say one person was killed and multiple others were shot. Delaware County 911 Dispatch received a call at 1:14 a.m. that multiple people were shot in the area of S. Hackley Street and E. Willard Street. When the Muncie Police Department arrived at the scene, they say the information they received was that a large party was at the location.

WPTA reports that 10-year-old Naivy Bloxson has been putting up the stand for about six years with the kids’ idea of helping their mother buy school supplies and clothes for the family.
