This March has been one of the driest on record around Pittsburgh — but that may change in the final days of the month. The National Weather Service is warning of an elevated risk of fire for much of the Pittsburgh region, including a red flag warning for portions of eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia through Wednesday evening. The red flag warning is in effect through 10 p.m. Wednesday as a “combination of dry fuels, very low humidity and gusty wind” hits the region.
