    Frieze Seoul has announced the winner of its stand prize, Tuan Andrew Nguyen, whose work is on view at the booth of Ho Chi Minh City–based Gallery Quynh. With teal blue walls and three Alexander Calder–esque hanging mobile works, the booth immediately stands out amid many group presentations at the fair. Each of the orange and silver sculptures is made of bomb fragments recovered from Vietnam, where the artist is based.

    Renowned street artist Banksy has unveiled a trio of new works in London, each featuring wild animals. On Monday, August 5th, a goat artwork by Banksy appeared near Kew Bridge in southwest London. This was followed by a mural featuring two elephants, which appeared in Chelsea on Tuesday; and a mural featuring three monkeys, which appeared on Brick Lane in East London on Wednesday. Banksy appeared to claim responsibility for each of these works by posting photos of them on his Instagram.

    Perrotin has announced its new representation of Ali Banisadr, a Brooklyn-based Iranian artist celebrated for his intricate oil paintings. Banisadr’s first solo exhibition with Perrotin is set for November 2024 in Shanghai and the artist will debut his latest piece, The Mirror World (2024), with the gallery at this year’s Art Basel in Basel. The representation announcement comes at a significant moment for the artist’s career.
