(Willmar MN-) Heritage Bank NA, in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, says the Kandiyohi County Area Family YMCA has been awarded a $20,000 grant through the Member Impact Fund. This grant will enable the Kandiyohi County Area Family YMCA to provide scholarships to area youth, offering them swimming lessons, participation in sports, family memberships, and daycare at free or reduced prices based on financial need. (Sunburg MN-) A St. Paul man was injured when his car crashed into a semi trailer near Sunburg yesterday afternoon. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department says at 4:52 p.m. they were dispatched to the intersection of County Roads 7 and 40, 3 miles south of Sunburg, where a car that had been traveling westbound on 40 went through the stop sign and hit the rear axle of a Jennie-O tractor-trailer that was traveling northbound on County Road 1.
