    WILLMAR — With spring dances and proms just around the corner, Advocacy & Inclusion Matter of West Central MN is playing the role of fairy godmother for the fifth year as it opens Glam Shoppe at Uptown Willmar. The store inside the Willmar mall sells gently used and new, donated formal dresses at a low cost, providing one of the few local places people will be able to purchase dresses for formal occasions. The reduced prices have helped many young women realize their prom dreams.

Steven Gardner declared the winner of the Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners race in District 2. Added 5 votes to his total, due to voter intent and approved by the election judges and campaigns. Gardner won the race by 18 total votes.

Current Willmar mayor Marv Calvin and business owner Steve Peppin will be facing off in the general election for the office of mayor of Willmar. Unofficially, Calvin came in with 72.93 percent of the primary vote, Peppin at 21.24 percent.
