    WILLMAR — Kandiyohi County Emergency Management is asking residents to assist in recording the impacts of the June 13-16 storm and flooding. In order to facilitate this, a hotline has been set up at 320-270-3766 for people to report damages caused by the storm. The "Crisis Clean Up" hotline allows residents to register their individual flood-related impacts, particularly to homes.

    WILLMAR — The Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners at its Tuesday meeting declared a state of emergency in response to the damage caused by heavy rains over the June 13-14 weekend. An earlier state of emergency — which expired at around 2:30 p.m. June 17 — had previously been declared by Board Chairman Steve Gardner over the weekend. By declaring a state of emergency at the June 17 meeting, the county has begun the process of seeking relief funds from the state and federal government.

    Jun. 16---- Kandiyohi County Public Works announced Monday that County Road 20 is closed between County Road 134 and County Road 4 until further notice due to recentaccording to a news release issued Monday morning. A portion of the north side of the road had collapsed in the area of a drainage ditch about a half-mile east of County Road 134.
