Austan Cristiaan is still just a freshman in high school, but several college programs across the country are already showing serious interest in the up-and-coming quarterback. Cristiaan (Bishop Verot, Fort Myers, FL) is in the midst of a busy spring schedule that included a stop in Clemson for the spring game on April 5. It was the 2028 quarterback’s fourth time visiting. He was at last year’s spring game, camped at Clemson last summer, and then returned for a game last fall.

Clemson is in a pretty good spot as Erik Bakich’s team prepares for the stretch run of the regular season. Having won all five of its ACC series to this point, the third-ranked Tigers are battling for the top seed in the ACC Tournament. Clemson (33-6, 11-4 ACC) is currently in second place in the league standings behind Georgia Tech, but the Yellow Jackets (29-7, 14-4 ACC) have played three more conference games. The two teams are actually tied in the loss column.

Matt Luke and Clemson have already experienced a lot of success with offensive line targets in the 2026 recruiting class. The Tigers have already landed four blue-chip prospects. Four-star Braden Wilmes was the first to commit, late last year, then three more jumped on board last month. Four-stars Adam Guthrie, Grant Wise and Chance Barclay all announced commitments that weekend. However, Luke is still looking to add as many as two more offensive linemen to the class.
