4-Star TE Announces Clemson Offer

Clemson has handed out a second 2027 tight end offer. Four-star Grant Haviland (Milton, Alpharetta, GA) announced the offer on Monday via social media. He hails from the same high school as freshman offensive lineman Brayden Jacobs. Haviland is the second 2027 tight end to announce an offer from the Tigers. The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder recently worked out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp, his first-ever visit to campus.
Priority DE Target Sets Commitment Date

One of Clemson’s top remaining targets in the 2026 class has set a commitment date. Four-star DE Dre Quinn (Buford, GA) will announce a decision on Thursday, with Clemson, Notre Dame, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Texas as the finalists. The 6-foot-4 pass rusher picked up his Clemson offer last November after an unofficial visit for the Louisville game. He returned for the Elite Retreat in March and then again this month for the big official visit weekend.

Clemson commit Tait Reynolds continues to do work during the Elite 11 competition. The four-star quarterback turned in one of the top performances in the Elite 11 regionals. Late last month, Reynolds was named as an Elite 11 finalist, with the competition set to begin on Wednesday at Mira Costa in Los Angeles. Only 20 quarterbacks receive invites. Reynolds has been committed to Clemson for about a year now, announcing a verbal pledge last summer.
Desire to Win National Title Helped Bring Nate Savoie to Clemson

Erik Bakich’s most recent move in the portal has been one of his biggest of the offseason. Late Thursday night, Loyola Marymount transfer Nate Savoie made it official by going public with a commitment to Clemson. The West Coast Conference’s Freshman of the Year, Savoie hit .300 during his first collegiate season, with 20 home runs and 61 RBI, while slugging .675. He added 14 doubles, a triple and scored 42 runs in 51 games. Although, Savoie’s journey to Loyola Marymount was littered with roadblocks.
Clemson Offers Two 5-Star Talents

Brad Brownell is hunting some big recruiting targets in the 2027 recruiting class. Clemson has extended two new offers, both to elite-level talents. Five-star forward Baba Oladotun (James Hubert Blake, MD) announced an offer on Sunday. The 6-foot-9 prospect is ranked as the top player in the class, regardless of position, and sports more than 35 offers. Miami, Texas A&M and Auburn each offered on Sunday as well. Other offers include Louisville, Kentucky, Oregon, Ohio State, Syracuse and Georgetown.

Clemson has long been known for recruiting from a small pool of talent. Look no further than the quarterback position in the 2027 recruiting class as a prime example. Clemson just started offering rising juniors two weeks ago, and so far, just one quarterback offer has gone out. Four-star Peyton Houston was the recipient after killing it during a workout at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp.

Most years, Clemson tends to target a small number of running backs. For example, in the current 2026 class, the Tigers have offered just three running backs. Four if you count Jaylen McGill, who eventually reclassified. In 2025, only two offers were extended, and both would ultimately result in commitments. Looking to 2027, don’t expect that philosophy to change. So far, Clemson has offered just one running back, four-star David “Tre” Segarra.

Kyle Richardson has zeroed in on his tight end target in the 2027 recruiting class. Four-star Jaxon Dollar (E. Lincoln, Denver, N.C.) has announced an offer from the Tigers. The 6-foot-5, 222-pound prospect recently worked out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp. Dollar now has close to 20 offers, including Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and North Carolina. As a sophomore, Dollar totaled 13 receptions for 224 yards, with six touchdown catches.

Reece Wilmes has multiple connections to Clemson. Wilmes’ older brother, Braden, is currently committed to Clemson and is expected to be an early enrollee in January. His mother is an alum, as is one of his uncles. So, it’s no surprise that the 2028 offensive lineman (Lawrence Free State, KS) has grown up an avid fan of the Tigers. Despite those connections, Wilmes just competed at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp for the very first time.

Davion Jones made plans to work out at just one camp this summer, and it was at Clemson. Safeties coach Mickey Conn has been impressed by Jones’ film and invited him to Dabo Swinney’s high school camp which was held last week. The four-star safety felt pretty confident that if he went out and performed during the workout, an offer was likely to follow. A few days later, that offer was dispensed.
