CLEMSON — Some of the returns from Clemson’s big official visit weekend are starting to come in. Arguably, the biggest name on hand for the event was five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson (Grayson, GA). He is the lone target at the position, as things stand, and he was the only linebacker present this weekend. “The overall visit was incredible and more than welcoming,” Atkinson told The Clemson Insider.

CLEMSON — By the time the month of June rolls around, almost every college baseball team still playing is dealing with injuries. Some more than others. For Clemson, it was more than plenty. The Tigers started dealing with the injury bug when it comes to the pitching staff, even before the first pitch was thrown. Dane Moehler, who was tabbed as the Sunday starter, suffered an injury a week before the start of the season that robbed him of his entire freshman campaign.

CLEMSON — Clemson’s season came to a screeching halt Sunday. The top-seeded Tigers made seven errors in the field and third-seeded Kentucky scored in five of the first six innings, en route to a dominating 16-4 win over Clemson in an elimination game in the Clemson Regional on Sunday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The loss ends the Tigers’ season. Since 2011, Clemson has hosted a regional seven times, losing six of those. The Tigers have dropped home regionals twice in Erik Bakich’s first three seasons.

CLEMSON — The 2027 offers have started going out. Five-star in-state CB Joshua Dobson (Catawba Ridge, Fort Mill) announced the offer via social media on Sunday. Dobson is the first 2027 player to go public with an offer from the Tigers. The 6-foot-1 corner was last on campus for the blowout win over The Citadel in November, and told The Clemson Insider recently he was planning to get back at some point this summer. “An offer from Clemson would mean a lot,” Dobson said.

CLEMSON — Heading into the eighth inning against West Virginia, Clemson was right where it wanted to be. The top-seeded Tigers were up 5-4, and coming into Saturday, were 37-1 when leading after seven innings. That is how successful the backend of the bullpen has been. However, this time, it wasn’t meant to be, as closer Lucas Mahlstedt blew his third consecutive save, and second in two nights.
